ShopRite Stores Stay Open Despite Workers' Positive Tests

News 12: "ShopRite stores across the Hudson Valley will remain open despite some employees testing positive for coronavirus. The ShopRite on Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers is one of four ShopRite stores in Westchester where a worker has tested positive for coronavirus. ShopRite officials say the stores in New Rochelle, Thornwood and Bedford have also each had an associate with a confirmed case of COVID-19. The company posted a message on its Facebook page for each location... It's unclear if any of the workers had contact with customers at any of the locations. Company officials say privacy laws prevent them from releasing the name of the associate or which department they work in.But they also say they have implemented protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control to reduce the spread of the virus. They say the associates are no longer in the workplace and cannot return until they've been cleared by doctors. They've notified any colleagues who may have been in close contact for a prolonged period of time, and are requiring them to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days."...
